I need your help!

I have participated in JDRF walks for a while but never really had my own team. Since it's early in the year, and I have a while until the walk in September, I was wondering if anyone could help me with some ideas to get people involved. Most people including my family really "aren't into that kinda thing". I think it would change people's mind if they tried. Any ideas?

Thanks! :)

  1. Hey Rachael!!! YAY for you on undertaking this. Some people do videos, like Pam from Wicked Sweet (it is on the right side of her blog). Some do a letter (I have an example of a letter that we used 2 years ago under my tab for "Docx for Education and JDRF Letter"). If you go to the JDRF site...they have all kinds of helpful tips on writing the letter, making videos, and other ideas on how to raise monies. Good luck and let me know if you cannot find the help on the JDRF website.

  2. I was going to say everything that Reyna said. We did a video, wrote a letter, blogged and Facebooked about it all of the time.

We also did a fund-raising dinner that was a lot of fun. Chick-fil-a donated a percentage of the sales to our walk team.

    Good luck!!

  3. Same! Video, letter campaign, bake sales...it's really helpful to set up your team online so you can send the link to people.

    Great job!
